It was once said that “human beings are not born with instruction manuals” – but that we have an innate “blueprint” design at our very core that can inform us of our true and beautiful trajectory in life. How important is it to know this?

I became aware, in my post-teenage years, that humans move like lemmings. Like sheep. Like well-intentioned doctors, nurses and patients – in a hospital where the doctors are sick, the patients are well, and the nurses are spreading disease.

I was raised to believe in education, career, money, conformity and “stabiliy” in life. All these implants were engineered by a legion of people who were truly dysfunctional: neurotic high-school teachers, lecherous priests, repressed parents and elders, disilllusioned peers and ego-inflated role models. The momentum of institutionalized learning seemed intent to squeeze humans into arbitrarily constructed “boxes” and pidgeon holes. If you didn’t fit, it was you that was the problem, not the pidgeon hole.

I questioned everything when I was young; I still do. Particularly those symptoms associated with mindless authority, unquestioned stupidity that seems to be the rule, not the exception, in the human arena. All the knowledge and education that we’re subjected to in our vulnerable years, is not knowledge about the self – it is knowledge about the material world – the “outer” world. Knowledge of the logical mind. Knowledge of how to manipulate, how to control, how to influence, how to acquire, how to maintain, how to rule your kingdom of Sandcastles effectively. And how to put on the makeup of “success” even when you’re failing and dying and falling and empty. The art of supreme subterfuge.

I’ve often thought how amazing it would be if children were given real life-skills as they entered the world of education. Rather than memorizing meaningless names of rivers in Siberia – if they could be taught about themselves. How life works. How humans interact. Dealing with emotions. Dealing with sexuality. Dealing with the garbage and lies we’re bombarded with all day long in advertising, media, politics and religion. Finding the strengths and the gifts of the self in a world of protocols, costumes and agendas. Discovering, uncovering, delighting in and enjoying the true blueprint of their own soul… “what am I as a unique individual gifted with, and how can I give this gift to the world, to life, and ultimately, to myself…?”

There are some school systems, and some family structures that allow the individual the leeway of developing their own true potential, their inner gifts. Fortunate are the few individuals who have been gifted with this nourishing foundation in life. This is not a guarantee; it does not ensure that the self will not flounder, grovel and fail in its journey for meaning, fulfillment, completion. But how wonderful it would be if many, many more souls could enjoy a safe and inspiring foundation-building for their journey here. Something to help make our time here more the celebration it’s meant to be. Minimise the struggle and heartache that infuses so much of dysfunctional “life” as we know it on Planet Earth.

The Clean Lines of Life, exist as a simple set of instructions, set indelibly, deep inside our own self. The opportunity to awaken, explore the self, untangle the knots in our own architecture and begin to live from clarity, awareness & joy is the innate right, privelege and responsibility of every human being walking the face of this earth.

This is the most honorable task to undertake, while we have this short time, on this sweet green planet.
